IODAC 1% is a ready-to-use alcoholic solution for disinfection of intact skin and preparation within the operating field.
Available in colorless and colored versions.
Active Against Bacteria, Yeasts and Enveloped Viruses
IODAC 1% is an antimicrobial and antiseptic product active against bacteria, yeasts and enveloped viruses and indicated in medical-surgical practice for general antisepsis of intact skin in the healthcare setting.
The IODAC 1% formula combines povidone-iodine and ethyl alcohol. The rapidity of action and speed of evaporation make ethyl alcohol suitable as a vehicle for the preparation of compound solutions of disinfectants. Iodine and its derivatives help significantly increase activity and penetration capacity.
Scope of Application
Suitable for:
- Disinfection of intact skin.
- Disinfection of skin areas for sampling, biopsies, injections, catheterizations, etc.
- Preparation and delimitation of the operating field.
- Polyvinylpyrrolidone iodine
- Ethanol
- Excipients: isopropyl alcohol (ethanol denaturant), glycerin, co-formulants and purified water
- Colored version of 1% includes dyes
